Course Registration for the Winter Semester 2026/2027

General Information

Registration for courses in the Faculty of Psychology degree programs takes place online via Selma (Student Self-Management System). Since the 2022–23 winter semester, Selma has served as TU Dresden’s central portal through which students

• register for courses and exams,
• view their grades, and
• submit requests related to their studies.

Dates

• Publication of courses in Selma: Tuesday, September 1, 2026
• Enrollment in/withdrawal from modules: Monday, September 7, 2026, 8:00 a.m. through Monday, January 18, 2027, 11:00 p.m.
• Course registration:
  • Bachelor’s, 1st semester: Tuesday , October 6, 2026, 9:00 a.m. through Thursday, October 8, 2026, 11:00 p.m.
  • Bachelor’s, 3rd and 5th semesters: Monday, September 7, 2026, 8:00 a.m. through Thursday, October 8, 2026, 11:00 p.m.
  • All Master’s students in all semesters: Monday, September 7, 2026, 8:00 a.m. through Thursday, October 8, 2026, 11:00 p.m.
• Enrollment in courses with a selection process/pre-selection:
  • Bachelor’s, 1st semester: Tuesday , October 6, 2026, 9:00 a.m. through Wednesday, October 7, 2026, 11:00 p.m.
  • Bachelor’s 3rd and 5th semesters and all Master’s programs: from Monday, September 7, 2026, 8:00 a.m. through Sunday, September 20, 2026, 11:00 p.m.
• Drop courses: by Friday , January 18, 2027, 11:00 PM
• Waitlist Enrollment: Waitlists will be processed starting in calendar week 42 and will largely be closed

Notes on specific courses:

• BA-M4 Experimental Work: The participant lists will be carried over from the Summer Semester 2026. No registration is required.
• MA-KKP1: Registration is required for 3 of the 6 seminars. You must choose between Group 1 and Group 2. Starting October 8, 2026, the participant lists will be automatically transferred to the correct courses.
• MA-KPP7: The participant lists will be automatically transferred from the Summer Semester 26. No registration is required.
• MA-KKP8: Registrationis required for Child and Youth, Adult 1, Adult 2, and Therapy Assistance, which are divided into two groups. You must choose between Group 1 and Group 2. Starting on September 21, 26, the participant lists will be automatically transferred to the correct courses.

• MA-HPSTS-WP1 through WP5 R&I Elective-Required Modules: The participant lists are automatically transferred from the Summer Semester 26. No enrollment takes place.

General Information:

• Registration and withdrawal from modules, courses, and exams are only possible if you are enrolled in the respective degree program (either actively enrolled or on leave of absence).
• When selecting your courses, refer to the sample course schedules and the academic regulations for your degree program. Make sure to choose courses that do not overlap.
• Bachelor’s and Master’s students must first register for the module and then for the corresponding courses or sections.
• Elective Modules: You may only take elective modules up to the maximum number of credit points allowed. Additional elective modules are only permitted as supplementary modules. If you do not wish to take a module, please withdraw from it in a timely manner.
• Allocation of Seats: Seats are generally allocated based on the time of registration.
• Selection Process: If a selection process is required for courses, you must assign a priority to all courses. Under no circumstances should you select “Exclude” or “No Preference,” as you may otherwise not be assigned a spot. Allocation is handled automatically through Selma.
• Courses Offered by Other Faculties: Courses offered by other faculties are organized by those faculties, which is why registration deadlines may vary.
