PROMOS is a DAAD scholarship programme supporting TUD- students during stays abroad up to six months. Funding is possible for study stays around the world (except for ERASMUS+ Space) within the framework of partnership agreements as well as individually planned stays abroad as a freemover. The TU Dresden awards the scholarships through a quality-oriented and performance-based selection procedure. The priority of the TU Dresden lays in the funding of the study stays abroad.

WHO CAN APPLY?

• Registered TU Dresden students
  • From the 3^rd semester on
  • Who are German citizens, persons having the same status as Germans, as well as non-German students who are seeking a degree at TU Dresden.

WHICH BENEFITS DOES THE SCHOLARSHIP INCLUDE?

• Country-specific allowance between 350 and 550€ per month

and/or

• One-time travel allowance (country-specific)
• If applicable, course fee allowance for specialised and language courses (500€)
• No tuition fees

FUNDING POSSIBILITIES

• Study abroad stays                                                                          1 to 6 months

• At universities around the globe outside of the ERASMUS+ countries
• Both at partner universities as well as individually planned (freemover)
• Please indicate to what extent the credits from abroad will be recognised at TU Dresden.

• Final theses                                                                                      1 to 6 months

• At universities or in companies

• Language courses                                                              3 weeks to 6 months

• For solidifying already available good basic skills of a foreign language
• At universities around the globe

• Specialised courses                                                                 5 days to 6 weeks

• Offered by universities or scientific organisations abroad

FUNDING PERIOD

• Between 01 Jan and 31 Dec of each scholarship year
• Funding is only possible within a calendar year, not across years
