WANNA BE PARTNERS IN CRIME? OR THE ONE WHO SOLVES IT?
As every year, we organize the Crime Campus together with various Faculty Student Councils (FSRe) of TU Dresden. In this interactive puzzle game through the FSRe you slip into the role of the detective and try to solve an exciting criminal case. The starting point is the Integrale pavilion - whether in a group or alone, challenge your skills and solve the scavenger hunt across the campus
You, the participants, should get a little insight into various university departments and thus get to know the diversity of university life beyond your own field of study.
- WHEN: 12.00 - 16.30
- STARTING POINT: Integrale pavilion in the Fritz-Foerster courtyard
- REGISTRATION: Integrale pavilion or in advance on OPAL
Would you like to get involved, but don't really know where you can do this at TU Dresden or how best to make contact? Then our Meet & Greet with the university groups is the right place for you! Most of the TUD's university groups will welcome you on dies academicus in the courtyard of the Fritz Förster Building (probably) and will be happy to answer your questions. You can also find out in advance which university groups are taking part this year - just have a look at the "University groups" tab!
Hello lovelies, I'm Rocio, 20 years old and I'm from Spain. Singing has been my passion since I was a child and I am very happy to be able to share it with you. My style is more pop oriented and I like to accompany myself on the guitar. I hope that my music will touch you and encourage you to join in. If you want to get a taste of it, you can visit the linked Instagram account:): I'm very happy to see you all there!
Tom, Darian, Conrad - we are three friends who spend our free time making music - preferably with an instrument and microphone. We love pop music with class and do our best to create song covers that are both varied and innovative and do justice to the originals. For dies academicus, we will give you a selection of well-known songs reinterpreted for our spontaneous line-up of piano, guitar, drums and vocals as a live performance.
We can be reached via Instagram, where you can already see some of our song covers at"@tom._.jg" in our profile. Darian: "@tie.me.to.a.spaceship". Tom has been writing and releasing music himself for a year now. If you're curious, you can find his songs on various streaming platforms like Spotify under the name "Tom J. G.". Thanks for listening!
The Open Stage is a concept where artists and creatives have the opportunity to present their art on a stage. It's a platform for anyone to showcase their talents in front of a live audience, be it music, comedy, poetry or other forms of artistic performance.
We still have places available, so please get in touch with Amelie using the contact details below!
DKL and Mr. Fonsi are two rappers from Dresden who have already picked up quite a few people with their sometimes honest and personal, but also simply funny and uplifting lyrics. After a few years of working on their own, the two got together in 2021 and started writing songs together. It immediately became clear to both of them how much this encounter sparked both their joint and individual creativity and enjoyment of rap, and this feeling always comes across to the audience in an honest way when they perform together.
With classic boom bap beats, but also trap and lo-fi instrumentals, they invite you to nod your head and dance, but also to sit down and listen. So come along to their performance at dies academicus!
In the cultural melting pot of Andalusia, an art form emerged over the course of the 19th century that is known today as flamenco. From a kaleidoscope of the most diverse, sometimes ancient musical and dance influences, a complex network of so-called palos, or styles, developed, in which the entire spectrum of human emotion is reflected. Each of them is characterized by its own musical, dance-like and expressive character, which finds its expression in the interplay of singing, cante, dancing, baile, and guitar playing, toque. The transitions to related musical forms are often fluid, as is the case with the sevillanas, which are an integral part of everyday life and festivals in Andalusia, such as the famous Feria de Sevilla. Members of the Dresden flamenco studio El Patio Flamenco, led by Migiwa Shimizu, will present an insight into the fascinating world of flamenco, which has been part of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity since 2010, on the occasion of Dies Academicus 2024.
Tango Argentino combines passion, melancholy and expressiveness in equal measure. For a short time, two people merge and follow the sounds of the bandoneon, which found its way to South America via the Ore Mountains over 100 years ago and has shaped tango music worldwide ever since. However, tango dance is even more diverse and can be danced to any music that musically captivates the dancers.
On June 5, Hannah and Götz will first dance a tango waltz, in which the lively rhythm and the minor sounds meet and a modern piano piece, which is intended to express the fullness of the tango dance movements.
Stage programme: Folklore dance
Under the direction of dance teacher and choreographer Maud Butter, about 40 dancers and musicians currently devote themselves to the cultivation and interpretation of German dance folklore as well as the dance realisation of traditional customs from various German regions in sophisticated stage choreographies. The sensitive and responsible handling of our cultural heritage is at the forefront of the creation of thematic and action-related works with the diverse means of folklore dance. The ensemble is of course open to all interested people and offers a wonderful framework for cultural exchange.
We are the children's and youth dance studio at the TU Dresden and we were founded in 1977 by Bärbel and Gert Hölzel. Our repertoire ranges from modern dance and jazz dance to folk and children's dance. We are delighted to be part of the "dies academicus" and will be giving an insight into our repertoire with three dances at around 16:40. Have fun!
The Dresden-based band Tapyr has been playing down-to-earth hard and blues rock with occasional progressive and psychedelic influences since 2018. Of course, the influence of certain rock greats from the 70s cannot be ignored. Together, the four musicians Lucas Hurtig (vocals, guitar), Leon Sbosny (Hammond), Matthias Hurtig (bass) and Ansgar Vent (drums) create a varied mixture of groove and melody, guitar and Hammond as well as the tried and tested and the experimental. In addition to the stage, the band has also discovered studio work in recent years and can proudly look back on four releases, Fisherman (single, 2020), The Valley Session (EP, 2020), Songbyrd (single, 2021) and Flight of the Oryx (EP, 2023).

WORKSHOPS
Populism is a basic political attitude that stands in radical opposition to the ruling political/social elites and claims to know and represent the “true” will of the people. How can one argue against populism?

Healthy eating, healthy living, healthy working?
Whether at work or at university, those who work until they can't do any more expose themselves to unnecessary stress and perform less well. The longer we wait to take a break, the less rest it offers us. Those who know ways to help themselves are more confident and experience less stress. Psychology calls this mental resistance: resilience.
Companies respond differently to the needs of employees. We can discuss how to recognize what a company offers and what attitude it has towards keeping employees healthy.

Experiments, information and craft activities provide access to the topic of bacteria for young and old, from kindergartens to school classes, and anyone and everyone who is interested. Participatory research and easily accessible science communication in the exhibition container lead visitors into the unknown world of microbes.
