STEM—What exactly is that again?
STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics—fields that are shaping our digital and technological future. These include fields of study such as computer science, mechanical engineering, biology, physics, environmental informatics, and electrical engineering, which allow you to work on topics like AI, climate protection, medicine, and sustainable energy. This is particularly important today because many jobs of the future require technical knowledge, and innovative solutions to global challenges are in demand.
Studying STEM doesn’t mean you have to choose just one of these fields, because STEM can’t be broken down into just M I N T, and all STEM degree programs are interconnected. However, you can focus on areas that match your talents and find the degree program that’s right for you. Let yourself be surprised by just how broad STEM really is.
