STEM scholarship 2023/2024

TU Dresden supports schools with a particular focus on STEM subjects and awards up to 13 scholarships to successful, hard-working graduates of a school which is a member of a STEM school network – either the MINT-EC or MINT Zukunft schaffen network. The STEM scholarship is awarded by the Association of Friends and Sponsors of TU Dresden (GFF).
The scholarship includes:
- Financial support of €300 per month for the first year at university.
- The opportunity to participate in a buddy program and network with students in a more advanced semester before you start studying.
- Getting to know regional companies and GFF members at events such as company visits and meetings.
Who can apply?
First-year students, who completed their Abitur (school leaving exam) at a MINT-EC school, a school belonging to the MINT Zukunft schaffen network or a partner school of TU Dresden and who will begin their studies in a STEM subject at TU Dresden during the 2023/2024 winter semester.
All applicants must include a letter of recommendation from a teacher!
How and when to apply
The period for applications runs from July 15, 2023 until September 7, 2023. Please use the online form to apply.
Applicants must also upload the following documents (ideally as PDF files):
- Abitur certificate
- Curriculum vitae
- Letter of motivation (you can find some pointers here)
- A list of completed work placements/internships, prizes, competitions you have participated in as well as social engagement, volunteer work and extracurricular activities with supporting documents (certificates, certifications of completion etc.)
- Letter of recommendation from a teacher
- Admission notification or certificate of enrollment for a STEM subject at TU Dresden (can be submitted up until the end of September)
- High school graduates who attended a MINT-EC school must also supply a MINT-EC certificate!
