Integrity toward oneself and others is also the chief principle in science and research as well as an ethical standard and foundation of professionalism in science.
TU Dresden is dedicated to the highest standards for ensuring good scientific practice, as incorporated in the Statutes for Ensuring Good Scientific Practice, Avoiding Scientific Misconduct and Handling Violations of June 1, 2022 (PDF). These apply to the entire research process in all phases of scientific qualification.
All members and associate members of TU Dresden are bound by scientific integrity as a fundamental ethical standpoint and are obliged to observe the rules and regulations in place.

On this basis, compliance in academia and research centers on the following areas of activity:
- Good scientific practice
- Transfer of research findings to industry and society
