TU Dresden awards honorary medals and an honorary citizenship
On Thursday, June 13, 2024, TU Dresden presented two of its highest awards - the honorary pin and honorary citizenship - in the ceremonial hall of the University Executive Board.
Whether in teaching, research, studies or administration - creative ideas and great achievements are essential for the success of TU Dresden and have been honored accordingly for several years now. Members of the university are honored for their outstanding individual achievements and exceptional services to TU Dresden with the badge of honor. This award was presented on June 13, 2024 by TUD Rector Prof. Ursula Staudinger and Chancellor Jan Gerken (naming in order of award): Prof. Frank Almai, Dr.in Anja Blüher, the Emergency Response Team IT ING with Nick Dannenberg, Andreas Hauffe, Matthias Rack and Markus Sontowski, Kristin Fiedler, Prof. Stefan Gumhold, Lisa Iden and Prof. Daniel Leising. This was preceded by an individual appreciation of the merits of the honorees. Details of the honorees can be found here.
In addition, by resolution of the Senate of TU Dresden, the former and long-standing Chair of the TUD University Council, Gunda Röstel, was awarded honorary citizenship of TU Dresden.
