1. Funding Program Internationalization
The internationalization funding program supports all staff members of TU Dresden with the goal of strengthening our international collaborations through ideas and commitment and thus contribute to far-reaching, research-intensive collaborations. The program promotes in particular:
- Mobility and short stays between TU Dresden and international partners
- Exchanges of research and teaching staff as well as administrative staff
- Events (international conferences, Summer Schools, workshops)
- Cooperations to produce joint publications or joint third-party funding applications for research projects with international partners
- Development and establishment of (digitally supported) study options
The Funding Program Internationalization comprises two funding lines: "Flexible funding program for internationalization" and "Funding of cooperations with strategic partners" (TU Delft, Science regions Wrocław and Prague). It pursues the implementation of the Internationalization Strategy "TU Dresden - Connected to the World", i.e. the professional and strategic profiling of both TU Dresden and the Dresden science hub.

2. transCampus funding program
The strategic partnership between TU Dresden and King's College London has been growing continuously since 2015. Today, it comprises numerous (research) collaborations in a wide variety of disciplines. TU Dresden strives to enhance the transCampus partnership and to make the synergy effects resulting from the firmly established cooperation structures available to further participants. It is our goal to consolidate the transCampus in TUD's portfolio as a far-reaching, research-focused collaboration with significant impact on studies, teaching and transfer.
The transCampus funding program is one of the pillars to achieve this goal. Calls for applications are open once a year in early summer. The program promotes both the development of new and the expansion of existing transCampus collaborations that aim to bolster e.g. the exchange of early-stage researchers, the application for joint third-party funding projects, or the organization of joint events.
Projects are funded up to a maximum of 15,000 EUR and a duration of one year.
Detailed information is available at: https://tu-dresden.de/tu-dresden/internationales/transcampus
Application period: September 10, 2021, Funding period: January 1, 2022 to December 31, 2022.
3. Dresden Fellowship Program
The Dresden Fellowship Program allows to invite international researchers for joint research and teaching at TU Dresden for a period of up to six months. The focus is on intensifying cooperation and establishing long-term, strategic cooperation projects with institutions and working groups of TU Dresden and its DRESDEN-concept partners.
Early-career researchers are nominated as Dresden Junior Fellows, while established researchers at TU Dresden are nominated as Dresden Senior Fellows. Due to the two program lines, since 2013, TU Dresden has already attracted more than 190 research talents as Dresden Fellows at the senior and early-career level.

Applications can be submitted at any time.
4. Eleonore Trefftz Program
An excellent university considers itself to be a place with equal opportunities for both women and men. In order to further increase the proportion of women, TU Dresden's Eleonore Trefftz Program promotes the careers of female researchers. The program enables alternating guest professorships at TU Dresden for 3 to 12 months and aims to facilitate the active recruitment of excellent female researchers in the faculties where appointments are planned. In order to do so, the program offers the opportunity to get to know promising female researchers and to inspire them to join TU Dresden.

Application deadline: regular deadlines April 15 and October 15 of the year.
5. Internationalization Award
To increase the visibility of the variety of initiatives for internationalization at TU Dresden and to appreciate the committed individuals, the Internationalization Award has been presented once a year since 2016. In 2021, the call is aimed at good practice examples of internationalization and digitalization, design of an international campus, as well as initiatives to strengthen TU Dresden's international visibility.
