The Society exclusively and directly pursues charitable activities in line with the "Tax-privileged purposes" of the German Tax Code (Abgabenordnung).

The purpose is achieved in particular by:

• the establishment and maintenance of contacts of Technische Universität Dresden with business and industry,
• the promotion and support of highly talented students and young researchers,
• the support of visiting researchers and researchers at Technische Universität Dresden,
• the support and conducting of scientific events for the meeting of German and international students and researchers,
• the promotion of the relations of former students to Technische Universität Dresden,
• the support of students in emergencies
• the support of cultural work within Technische Universität Dresden,
• the raising of funds for the promotion of science, education and culture,
• the promotion of art and culture at TU Dresden.
