ELBFLORACE - takes off
Dear supporters,
We are delighted to be back with exciting news from the workshop, the test track and, of course, the rollout of this year's ZoE racing car. A lot has happened for us in the last few weeks - and we would like to share this with you.
SOT & COT successfully completed
After some delay, but with great success, we were able to complete both the System on the Table (SOT) and the Car on the Table (COT) tests. All electronic systems were first successfully put into operation outside the vehicle and then in the installed state. These two test phases are decisive milestones on the way to road readiness and our approach has once again proved its worth this year.
Final assembly & commissioning
April and the first half of May were dominated by the assembly of our vehicle. One by one, all components were fitted to the vehicle - from the chassis and aerodynamics to the drivetrain and electronics. The wiring harness was also fully installed. This laid the technical foundation for the first test drives.
EV & DV first drives
On the evening of May 13, the time had finally come: our electric racing car successfully completed its first drive.
But that was not all - just twelve hours later, on the morning of May 14, our autonomous system integrated into the vehicle (DV) was also able to take its first drive.
This proximity is a record in the history of ELBFLORACE: never before has the DV first drive taken place so early in the year, and the distance to the EV first drive has never been shorter.
These drives officially marked the start of this year's test phase.
Rollout on May 17 - ZoE is here!
On May 17, we were finally able to present the centerpiece of our season to the public: Our new race car ZoE was ceremoniously unveiled at the Auditorium Center of the TUD Dresden University of Technology.
With a total weight of only around 157 kilograms, ZoE is not only a powerful vehicle, but also the result of months of hard work.
Numerous guests were on site and many more followed the presentation via livestream. The event was a complete success and a wonderful evening for the entire team - as well as for our families, friends and, of course, our valued supporters.
Successful start to the test phase
Immediately after the rollout, we began the first days of testing - and these were successful despite some minor obstacles. Over the coming weeks, we will be working hard to find the best possible setup for the upcoming events and to optimally tune all systems. At the same time, we are using the test days to prepare our team members in a targeted manner for their tasks at the competitions.
We would like to thank you for your continued support and look forward to starting a strong event season together with you!
With motorsport greetings
Your ELBFLORACE team
