MINT scholarship holders introduced: Jennifer Weinhold
Jennifer Weinhold is 18 years old and studies Molecular Biology and Biotechnology at TUD
- That's why I decided to study at TU Dresden:
Dresden has been my hometown for 18 years and therefore has a very special place in my heart.
special place in my heart. In addition, TU Dresden is a renowned university of
University of Excellence, it is one of the best in Germany for studying in the
natural sciences - That inspires me:
Chemistry, biology, dancing and the enthusiastic faces of the kids in my GTA - MINT means to me:
An amalgamation of different fields to be able to explore and explain the background of life together - I was totally surprised in my first semester:
How many people of all different ages are interested in the same topics and degree programs. And how irrelevant the actual attendance is for the knowledge relevant to the exam - I would like to be able to answer these question(s) after my studies:
How can complex biological structures arise from the simplest chemical building blocks? I am interested in how life can arise in such a coordinated way and how such processes can be understood and manipulated - If you have a message for prospective and/or first-year students, what would it be?
Talk to the others! It helps a lot to be in exchange with other students, whether it's about the content or the rooms or activities outside of your studies
