Study bridge mentoring for pupils - annual review 2025
Studienbrücke, a mentoring program funded by the Gesellschaft von Freunden und Förderern der TU Dresden (GFF), can look back on a successful year in 2025. As part of the funding, TU Dresden and its wide range of courses were presented to a total of 30 secondary schools - around 2,500 pupils and almost 400 parents gained their first insights into university education and career paths.
As TU Dresden's only mentoring program that focuses in a targeted manner on the transition from school to university, Studienbrücke has accompanied 121 students throughout Saxony and Germany this year. At the heart of the program is the work in mentoring partnerships, in which students provide low-threshold insights into their everyday study life at TU Dresden. Workshops and excursions complement the program and open up concrete perspectives for study and career choices.
Highlights of the year were the kick-off events in spring and fall as well as a networking meeting in summer. At these events, mentees and mentors were able to exchange ideas in person for the first time, explore degree programs or career paths and network close to campus.
We would like to thank the GFF for its renewed financial support, which enables us to offer a unique study orientation program in Saxony. We would also like to thank the volunteer students and all project partners inside and outside TU Dresden.
