Queer Parenthood - Interdisciplinary series of events
Krit*Med Dresden is a group of people who critically examine medical policy issues. They noticed that queer topics are still marginalized in the medical curriculum. As a result, future doctors often have insufficient knowledge about queer people and their life situations. Fear of contact, misconceptions and generalizations of many clients may have an impact on clinical practice.
This series of events aims to break this cycle: It is dedicated to the topic of queer parenthood in order to promote queer health and at the same time to break with heteronormative family images.
In addition to DIY workshops, there will be lectures, as well as book and film screenings, which are intended not only to empower queer people, but also to enable and network multipliers. All those interested in the events are welcome. The organizers are looking forward to a lively exchange. Here you can find the program.
The event is organised by the critical medical students, the queer peer counselling of the TU Dresden, the university group GENOW, Gerede e.V. and the complaint office of the TU Dresden.
We would like to organise the event as barrier-free as possible. If you encounter any obstacles to participation, please let us know. All events will be held in German spoken language. Whispered translations can be provided if required.
