Foundation profile
The "Foundation for the Promotion of the TUD Dresden University of Technology" - TUD Foundation for short - was established in 2000 as a foundation under civil law with the aim of promoting and enhancing the future viability and quality of the university. In particular, it supports teaching, research and the TUD's cultural and sporting activities. The focus is primarily on projects that develop the campus and university life in a long-term and sustainable manner.
In addition, the TUD Foundation, as an umbrella for various trust foundations and endowment funds, enables the promotion of individual projects, specific facilities and effective pilot projects.
Committees
TheFoundation Board and Foundation Council form the bodies of the TUD Foundation. They are supported by a strong cooperation network and the broad expertise within TU Dresden.In the future, the Foundation Board will be supported by an advisory body - the Foundation Board of Trustees - consisting of stakeholders and decision-makers from science, politics, business and society who want to participate in the rapid development of TU Dresden into a top university in Germany and Europe and proactively help shape the future of TU Dresden.
