Digital learning map of Saxony expanded to include service area

Discover new learning locations and easily explore Saxony's educational landscape with pupils.

In addition to searching for and finding a suitable learning location on the digital learning map of Saxony, the planning and implementation of learning location visits with school classes is now also supported by many tips and materials, right through to the finished lesson concept.

Extracurricular learning locations offer valuable opportunities to enrich lessons. They enable interdisciplinary, action-oriented learning with a regional focus. The Saxony Learning Map was developed with this potential in mind, enabling teachers to find suitable learning locations for their lessons.

With the help of the learning map, teachers can explore the educational landscape around the school location, find extracurricular learning locations according to their needs and filter their offers precisely for their lesson plans. Despite the simplifications offered by the learning map in the search for a suitable extracurricular offer, the planning and implementation of a learning location visit still involves considerable additional effort. In order to provide even more support for motivated teachers, a service area has now been set up on the Learning Map that addresses precisely this hurdle.

What's new?

To facilitate the organization of learning location visits, the service area contains a list of funding opportunities (financial support for travel to and from the location, admission fees, trips lasting several days, etc.), an overview of the legal situation of learning location visits with a checklist and a prepared information letter to parents/guardians.

The organization of the learning processes on site is supported by suggestions for lesson planning and a collection of methodological ideas. The offer is supplemented by information on how learning processes at the extracurricular learning location can be designed in a problem-oriented way or in the sense of ESD.

At the heart of the service area is the collection of materials, in which complete practical examples for lessons at a very specific extracurricular learning location are available for download with the corresponding materials so that they can be integrated into your own lessons. Further links and literature references round off the offer.

Lernlandkarte Sachsen is thus expanding its range of services into an all-round offer for extracurricular learning. Thanks to the new service area, the integration of extracurricular learning locations is now even better supported.
