General Instructions and Remarks about the Survey of University Lecturers
As part of the research of the Centre for Quality Analysis/ZQA (§ 12 SächsDSDG i.V.m. § 10 Abs. 1 SächsHSPersDatVO) and for the purpose of evaluation (§ 9 SächsHSFG) surveys for the quality analysis of the study programs are conducted within the quality management of the TU Dresden. Subject of this lecturer survey is the quality of teaching at the TU Dresden. Only for the aforementioned research purpose personal data will be processed by TU Dresden, Center for Quality Analysis ZQA, 01062 Dresden. Your voluntary and informed consent is required for this.
Information on data protection:
Participation in the survey is voluntary. Not filling in the form will carry no implications nor consequences. Please note, however, that each completed questionnaire improves the significance of the results.
The survey is anonymous. The contact data that we use on the basis of § 10 of the „Sächsische Hochschulpersonendatenverordnung“ (SächsHSPersDatVO) will only be used to establish contact. In any case it is ensured that your identity data cannot be associated with the survey results.
A personal, randomly generated access link is used for the survey. The code ensures that no other person is able to complete the questionnaire. Furthermore, it is not possible that the questionnaire can be filled out twice. Despite the code, your personal information that was given in the questionnaire cannot be inferred.
During the survey phase and under very specific circumstances it cannot be entirely ruled out that a natural person could be identified by combining different and very specific answers. However, this is not the focus of the research interest. The aim is the collection of results on specific groups of persons. Therefore, safeguards are already in place during the initial processing of the data to ensure that no specific person can be identified.
With a few exceptions (so-called filter questions) you decide from question to question whether you want to give an answer.
The legal and statutory provisions, in particular regarding data protection in research projects, are adhered to in all cases. The instructions of the data protection officer of the TU Dresden have also been duly considered.
Of course you can revoke your participation in this and future surveys at any time with effect on the future. In this case, your contact data will be deleted.
Unless otherwise required by law or you have given your explicit consent in individual cases, personal data will not be transferred to third parties.
The research results are published in the conventional scientific form. We guarantee that no conclusions about natural persons can be drawn from the publications. The anonymised results may be used for further research purposes and can be passed on to other research bodies in the European Union.
All personal data, in particular your contact details, will be deleted after completion of the research project in accordance with data protection laws.
You can obtain information about what personal data concerning your person is currently being processed at all times. Usually this is your name, your faculty and your e-mail address. However, further information is only possible if the data can still be uniquely assigned to your person. You are entitled to an answer within one month after receipt of the request for information.
If you are concerned that your right to the protection of your personal data has been violated, you can contact the data protection officer of TU Dresden or the Saxon data protection officer at any time.
