Industrial NeedsLeader: TWC, AIDICOContributions of the Partners: STABU, TUD, LJU, BIC, UNINOVA, CSTB Objectives:The objective is to collect the industry requirements on product description, data exchange and information flows, co-ordination of processes and needs for workflow, in order to encompass eBusiness in the large. This work package will identify at European level the main interest points for the AEC industry regarding standards and e-business needs.The analysis will focus on the different agents of the construction process, the product and material providers, construction companies, engineering firms, architects, etc., in order to deliver a set of comprehensive requirements based on current business processes, product data definition and exchange mechanisms, information management practices, description of the various interactions taking place between actors, identification of workflows, and so on. The Work Package will explore what is required to integrate the business processes taking into account the range in needs from the very large companies through to the very small SMEs. The work will examine the standards required, identify missing standards, suggest enhancements to existing standards and recommend where standards should be more compatible with each other. ProDAEC is also an opportunity to identify the key functionality of software applications required by users. TWC will be supported by a group of national organisations, which will be in charge of the tasks mentioned above in their country. |

StandardsLeader: H+P, AEC3Contributions of the Partners: VTT, TUD, STABU, LJU, LIGIM, AIDICO Objectives:This workpackage addresses the problems of exchanging design data, structural analysis data, equipment dimensioning data, materials characterisation data, etc. It targets also project organization, contract negotiation and project budgeting issues, along with project management issues and requirements for workflow management during construction project execution.Besides the responsible partners, substantial contributions of several experienced members are defined. The consortium knowledge shall be taken into account not only to analyse the current situation, but also to take advantage of related projects in which the WP members are or have been involved (e.g. ToCEE, VEGA, ISTforCE, OSMOS, e-CONSTRUCT, e-LEGAL). |

Electronic BusinessLeader: CSTBContributions of the Partners: ANTARA, UNINOVA, BIC Objectives:
This work package will be open to all organisations willing to collaborate in the e-Business working group of the network, especially e-Business providers. Especially welcomed are: system vendors, service suppliers, platform providers and end users. In the course of the project, WG5 plans to generate a long-term Working Group to be active during and beyond ProDAEC network. |
