On Aug. 29, 2023, Mr. Sanghyeub Kim, M.Sc., successfully defended his scientific thesis within the scope of the doctoral procedure with the topic "Numerical Modeling of Tire Manufacturing and High-speed Rolling". In addition to the chairman of the doctoral committee, Prof. Dr. Ivo Herle (TU Dresden), Prof. Dr. Michael Kaliske (TU Dresden) was present as a reviewer and doctoral supervisor and Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Graf (TU Dresden) as another member of the doctoral committee. The reviewers Prof. Romesh C. Batra (Department of Biomedical Engineering and Mechanics, Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, USA) and Prof. Dr. Hüsnü Dal (Director CAD/CAM Robotics Center, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Middle East Technical University, Ankara, Turkey) were also online.
