Let's get CUBE: The foundation stone has been laid

"Green concrete, super concrete, formula one concrete, organic concrete. Carbon concrete has been given numerous nicknames throughout its career: no wonder, with so many properties that give it a lot of advantages in the construction industry. We are making history with the world's first building made entirely of carbon concrete. Due to the corona pandemic, the laying of the foundation stone could not take place as planned. Nevertheless, we did not want to let this special moment pass us by. Without health risk and in compliance with strict hygiene regulations, the overall coordinator Matthias Tietze and the project manager Michael Frenzel laid the foundation stone for the futuristic-looking building. Representatives of politics, business and society were not able to attend the event in person, but the Prime Minister Michael Kretschmer, the Lord Mayor Dirk Hilbert, the Rector of the TU Dresden Hans Müller-Steinhagen and the Ministerialrätin in the Federal Ministry of Education and Research Gisela Philipsenburg, among others, expressed their good wishes and enthusiasm for the innovative material carbon concrete via video message.
