Forschung am Puls der Zeit
The research activities are based on current issues in building materials technology, with the aim of contributing to solving acute problems in building practice, such as the increasing scarcity of resources and the reduction of CO2 emissions in the building sector. At the same time, the creation of solid theoretical foundations is also aimed at. The research here is characterised above all by interdisciplinary work between the various research approaches.
Research at the Institute
Current research areas include in particular:
- Additive manufacturing
- Rheology
- Mechanical behaviour of composites
- Impact behaviour of mineral-bonded composites
- Sustainable building material design
- Multifunctional building materials
Numerous cooperation projects with German and foreign companies ensure the necessary technology transfer into practice.
