Hydro pulse testing machine sinus 250 kN
Several different testing machines and devices are available to the staff of the Institute of Concrete structures for the extensive testing tasks in the Otto Mohr Laboratory. One of these is the hydraulic material testing machine “HYDROPULS SINUS” from the testing machine manufacturer SCHENCK. Its intended use is limited to cyclic and static material tests. The machine has a modular design, the main components are a two-column test frame, a hydrostatically mounted cylinder with a nominal force of +/– 250 kN and an integrated piston displacement transducer of 160 mm. The cylinder is installed in the table top of the load frame and is equipped with a hydraulic clamping head for flat and round specimens. The counterforces are absorbed by a crosshead mounted at the top, which is hydraulically adjustable in height. A steel plate with a bore d = 45 mm is mounted on the crosshead, through which the load can be introduced into the specimen during pull-out tests. Force measurement is also carried out on the crosshead.
The testing machine has been modernized several times and now has a universal digital controller with corresponding control software as well as new servo valves. Due to the relatively small hydrostatically mounted cylinder and the lightweight construction of the clamping head, the machine is suitable for fatigue tests with load cycles about 1 million.
An externally available multi-channel measuring system (MGC-PLUS) enables the measurement data acquisition of many sensors over longer test periods. Photogrammetric measuring tasks can also be solved by the open design of the testing machine.
