Description
In cooperation with the Dresden Writing Centre (Schreibzentrum Dresden, SZD), peer-to-peer writing advice is offered to students of the Faculty of Civil Engineering. Students receive support and coaching in the preparation of scientific reports (text type: technical report). In particular, the offer is aimed at students who write their project work in the module BIW5-01 Project Thesis or their Diplom thesis. The counselling sessions are held by writing tutors, who have received a writer-orientated training from the SZD. The tutors will be happy to answer any questions you may have:
- Starting writing (“Fear of the blank page”)
- Academic structure of your work
- Literature research
- Time management/designing a work plan
- Help with phrasing
- Layman assessment of your work

The writing counselling is offered here every other Friday and is divided into two parts:
