Faculty Administrator Committee Support, Quality and Communication Management

The Faculty Administrator for Committee Support, Quality and Communication Management is responsible for the planning, control, monitoring and central contact person for committee, quality and communication management of the faculty. She reports directly to the Dean of the Faculty of Environmental Sciences and supports the Dean on strategic issues in this context.

This concerns all applications to be submitted via the Dean's Office to the Central University Administration (ZUV) or the Rector's Office and the provision of advice as well as support with your questions or concerns.

In detail, this concerns:

Committees

  • Working groups of the School and ZUV for public relations, School council
  • Accompany appointment committees in their work together with the departmental administrations
  • Faculty Council: preparation, meeting, minutes, follow-up - Submission of topics at least 14 days before meeting date!
  • Doctoral Board: preparation, meeting, minutes, follow-up - Submission of proposals at the latest 14 days before the meeting in the dean's office / doctoral office!

Quality Management (QM) in administrative processes

  • Examination and processing of the following applications in preparation for resolutions in the Faculty Council:
  • Other topics on resolutions in the Faculty Council:
    • Accreditation of study programs
    • Appointments of professors and hiring of junior professors
    • Applications for prizes, awards, scholarships, etc. (submitted via the Dean's Office)
    • (Decree-)resolutions on study documents (e.g. statements and catalogs of measures in the context of course evaluations, amendment statutes, regulations, module amendments)
    • Leave of absence for professors (SächsHSG § 70)
    • Substitute registrations for examination boards and study commissions as well as academic and student program coordinators
  • Further tasks:
    • Appointment procedures: administrative support in close coordination with the chair of the appointment committee (preparation and support until the call is issued)
    • Appointment, nomination and election procedures of the faculty of offices / representatives / equal opportunity officers: administrative support (preparation and implementation from the application to the execution, including template preparation for appropriate bodies including Rectorate, Senate)
    • Policy documents, faculty-related: Updating and adaptation (e.g. faculty, doctoral, habilitation regulations, institute regulations)
    • Pre-testing of hygiene concepts for courses in cooperation with academic and student program coordinators
    • Doctoral Office: processes in connection with doctoral procedures
    • Quality management for processes of the faculty incl. support in the quality assurance of the study programs of the faculty (in coordination with central QM, the department "Building and Environment" and ZUV)
    • Coordinate and accompany bereavement cases
    • Applications for vacation request during the lecture period
    • Prepare faculty elections / university elections

Communication management for faculty

  • Maintain faculty website
  • Maintain faculty internal (SharePoint) information platform
  • Public Relations:
    • Coordinate for faculty including informational materials (in coordination with D7/Team Corporate Design), press releases (in consultation with TUD Press Office), speaking engagements, etc.
  • Plan, prepare, execute cross-faculty events
