Forest decline 2.0 – Are our forests facing the collapse?
This was the slogan for the discussion round on October 07, 2019 in the "FAKT IST!" show at 10:05 p.m. at MDR on causal agents, consequences and possible solutions for the current forest decline. Participants of the discussion were Hermann Onko Aeikens, State Secretary in the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture, Fee Christiane Brauwers, wood science student, Franz Prinz zu Salm-Salm, chairman of the Saxony-Anhalt Forest Owner Association, Dr. Ralf-Peter Weber, State Secretary in the Saxony-Anhalt Ministry of Environment, Agriculture and Energy and Prof. Dr. Michael Müller, head of the Chair of Forest Protection at Technische Universität Dresden. The recording of the show can be accessed for the duration of one year via the media center of the MDR.
