The Institute for Geography introduces itself
At the Institute of Geography, both human and geographic topics are the focus of teaching and research.
Worth knowing about the institute
The research fields of the members of the Institute of Geography are very diverse. Because the geographers cooperate with numerous representatives of the neighboring sciences (geologists, hydrologists, sociologists, spatial planners, geoinformatics, etc.), their research areas are also broadly diversified. They range from the age determination of sediments, the reconstruction of geomorphologically processes and paleoclimatic conditions, to the analysis of demographic change and didactics of geography lessons.
Research and teaching are realized by a total of five professorships.
You can find more information on the professorships' websites.
