Abstract
Based on early lenticular foil depictions with two or three discrete parallax plains and the ancient lenticular flip images a new method has been developed which allows to watch true-3D lenticular foil visualisations with a smooth "sliding" depth. This technology, for the first time applied in the form of a combined image line map using HRSC stereo imagery of the Austrian Alps, has been exploited and investigated in depth in photogrammetric and print-technological aspects. This, again, represents the first detailed scientific study into the complex geometric interactions of this illumination-independent and glasses-free autostereoscopic visualisation technique.
