Discussion round on the topic "How does the city go without waste?

As part of the series of events "Back or Future - How we want to live in Dresden", Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Christina Dornack participated on Wednesday,  25 September  2019 in the discussion round on the topic "How does the city go without garbage?". Next to her on the podium were the environmental mayor of Dresden Mrs. Eva Jähningen and the upcycling designer Oliver Schübbe. The event was moderated by journalist and author Cornelius Pollmer. After an impulse lecture by Oliver Schübbe about his career as an up-cycling designer and current projects, the discussion started and audience questions were answered. In addition to specific questions about the proper definition of "waste", the evening also dealt with questions about the re-municipalisation of waste management, what contribution citizens can make to a clean city and how sensible it actually is that Germans separate their garbage so properly.
