project description:
Aim of this project was the establishment of a subsidized network between research institutes and companies in Kazakhstan. A cooperation is intended in the areas of research of the IAK, in particular in the fields "biogas" and "remediation of groundwater". An enlistment of partners for extension of the cooperation on a European level (Calls in HORIZON 2020 and other programs) was planned. Additionally, IAK and Kazakh universities shall be apply for research programs on a national level (e.g. with German BMBF funding) and a counterpart project in Kazakhstan. Moreover, possibilities for the exchange of students and scientists (programs of DAAD, ERASMUS and other grants) shall be explored. Public relation was given by workshops in Kazakhstan and Germany (kick-off workshops, press releases).
