Project "RescueFly" - Successful Validation Campaign
Cutting-edge technology for water rescue!
On October 6, the RescueFly project team successfully conducted a validation flight at Lake Partwitz (Partwitzer See): Using advanced drone technology and AI algorithms, the drone located a drowning person, deployed a self-inflating rescue device, and conveyed the position to the alerted water rescue team. A groundbreaking step for efficient water rescue.
The RescueFly consortium consists of the Steiger Foundation, Brandenburg Institute for Society and Security, Mintmasters, the Technical Universities of Dresden, Chemnitz, and Cottbus, along with the company Droniq, and is supported by the BMDV.
