BDEW congress with doctoral candiates and students from the faculty
This year's BDEW Congress took place in Berlin from June 14-15. Under the motto "We secure energy!", representatives from politics and business met to discuss future developments in the industry. Every year, the association enables young talents from companies and students to participate in the congress. Six students from the Chair of Business Administration, esp. Energy Economics, accompanied by research assistant Lauritz Bühler, accepted the invitation and took part in the event with great interest. In Berlin, they also met two former colleagues, Dr. Carl-Philipp Anke and Christina Wolff.
The top-class program of the two congress days included political keynotes and panel discussions, among others, by the head of the Federal Government Wolfgang Schmidt, Vice Chancellor Dr. Robert Habeck and Federal Minister for Education and Research Bettina Stark-Watzinger. The focus was on the current political challenges such as the gas crisis and the general security of supply. In addition, the transformation process towards a climate-neutral future, including the switch to a hydrogen economy, was discussed intensively.
