Guest Lecture by Dr. Ioana Petrescu on Space Economics

We are pleased to announce the guest lecture by Dr. Ioana Petrescu, which will take place on July 9, 2024 at 2:50 p.m., as part of our course "Space Economics" in room SCH A 315.

Dr. Petrescu is a Senior Research Fellow at the Taubman Center for State and Local Government at Harvard Kennedy School and was Romania's first female Minister of Finance. She founded the NGO Pur și Simplu Verde, which campaigns for a greener economy, and is active as a European Climate Pact Ambassador. She is also the author of several books and works as a consultant for different entities such as the European Economic and Social Committee in Brussels.

In her lecture, Dr. Petrescu will present an unpublished paper in which she discusses economic policy in the space industry. Among other things, she will describe the various roles and tools available to state institutions to support companies in the space sector.
