Two DAAD scholarship holders visit the faculty
From September 2024 to March 2025, we warmly welcome two DAAD scholarship holders to the faculty. The two students from China and India are writing their Master's theses here or preparing them for graduation in their home countries.
Zirong An will be supervised by Prof. Dr. Marcel Thum during his stay at TU Dresden. He is studying for a Master's degree in Public Economics at the University of Jilin. His research focuses on the effects of fiscal decentralization on innovation. His work aims to provide policy makers with some guidance on how to coordinate their tax policy and innovation through a better and deeper understanding of the mechanisms and reasons for the impact of fiscal decentralization on innovation.
Siddharth Suman from IIT Kharagpur is a guest at the Junior Professorship of Business Administration, esp. Management Science under Junior Prof. Dr. Tristan Becker. His master's thesis on "Mathematical Optimization Models for Cross-Sectoral Green Hydrogen Production Networks" deals with the analysis of multinational hydrogen value creation networks using mathematical optimization models to investigate the use of limited green hydrogen across sectors and maximize the decarbonization effect.
