Objectives & Content |
Contents of the module are deterministic and stochastic order quantity models, planning of safety stocks, newsvendor models, integrated transport and lot size planning and dynamic order quantity planning. The focus is particularly on quantitative approaches. After this course the students know the tasks and functions of industrial inventory management and are able to give recommendations regarding the design of efficient material flow systems. In addition, different warehousing policies are discussed. |

Forms of Teaching & Learning |
Inventory Management is held as lecture with an accompanying exercise. A written exam has to be taken at the end of the semester. | |
