Objectives & Content |
The course introduces empirical methods for the application to variables and questions in the context of monetary policy. It focuses exclusively on parametric time series econometrics. After this course, students will be able to do empirical research dealing with time series data in the context of monetary policy analysis. Students will develop skills to assess and estimate time series models as well as using them for forecasting monetary policy data. While the first part of the course concentrates on univariate time series, the second part will deal with multivariate time series and account for interdependencies. The content of the course always relates to general macroeconomic questions. |
