Objectives & Content |
The course is designed following the Flipped Classroom approach: 1. Virtual Classroom: Students find the basic concepts, traditionally transported in forms of lectures in the real classroom, as digitally captured E-Lectures here in OPAL (virtual classroom). They are asked to acquire these basic concepts by studying the E-Lectures and optionally additional materials individually online, BEFORE they meet in the real classroom. 2. Real Classroom: • In 6 seminars the basic topics of the E-Lectures are extended by dedicated seminar themes. For each topic a different students' team • prepares a 30 min. presentation in pptx. on basis of the E-Lectures and actual readings & information • holds the presentation and initiates the discussion • afterwards protocols the topic with discussion (questions & answers) as a Wiki node in the aligned OPAL Wiki with links to the E-Lectures, presentation, additional information. • In 6 exercises practical approaches to design E-Learning components are trained under guidance of experienced tutors of the Chair informationmanagement. • In the exercise sessions the students develop in teams small practical solutions and deliver the results to the tutors. 3. Examination: The examination to acquire 5 ECTS credits and individual grading is two-folded: • unmarked examinations (unbenotete Haus- und Übungsaufgaben) contain presentation slides, presentation & discussion, Wiki node & practical deliverable • marked oral examination: 30-45 min discussion in a team of 2-3 students with prof. and assistant at the end of the semester. On application students can be examinded individually. |
