Program Content

In the Master’s program in Business Administration, you will receive a solid, research-oriented education in management. You will acquire the methodological and technical knowledge needed to analyze complex business problems and develop proposed solutions. You’ll have access to a wide range of business administration topics, allowing you to delve into those that best align with your own interests.

and study them in varying degrees of depth.

Study Abroad and Dual Degrees

Would you like to study abroad for a semester or longer? No problem—thanks to the faculty’s numerous contacts and partnerships with universities abroad! The Erasmus program alone currently includes over 60 partner universities. In addition, the faculty and TU Dresden maintain contacts with universities from virtually every part of the world.

Transferring credits earned abroad is straightforward through the completion of learning agreements and thanks to the flexible elective requirements. Financial support is also available. In addition to the PROMOS scholarships awarded at the university level, the Prof. Endriss Prize has for years supported study abroad stays in a targeted manner for students in the Faculty of Business and Economics.

Particularly attractive are the dual-degree programs that the faculty maintains with the Università degli studi di Trento, the Università degli studi di Pavia, and the EM Strasbourg Business School. In all three programs, you will spend one year at the partner university and earn 60 credit points there, which may include your master’s thesis. You will then receive a master’s degree from both universities.

After Graduation

Graduates of the Master’s in Business Administration have excellent career prospects. Business administration graduates are in high demand in all types of companies (and beyond). The range of potential employers extends from consumer goods, service, and industrial companies, financial institutions, and management consulting firms to public administration.

Typical areas of responsibility include finance and accounting, corporate planning, management accounting, marketing and sales, production and logistics, organization, and human resources. Graduates of the Master’s program are ideally suited for leadership roles and are also well-prepared for self-employment.

High-achieving graduates also have the option of pursuing not only careers in business but also academic careers through a doctoral program.

The Location of the Program

At the Faculty of Business and Economics, you’ll study on TU Dresden’s main campus in the Südvorstadt district. The chairs, the Dean's Office, and the Academic Affairs Office are housed in the historic Georg-Schumann Building and the adjacent Hülße Building. Many of your courses will also take place in these buildings. All facilities are easily accessible by public transportation or bicycle.
