Scientific Theses

For all student (AQUA-, Seminar-, Bachelor-, research seminar-, Master-, Diplom-) works, we recommend the use of the LaTeX template and the utilization of the student guide for writing the scientific work. If you decide to use Microsoft Word, please follow the design guidelines of the LaTeX template. The grading of the scientific work will not only be focused on the content, but also the general form, style and the scientific work technique will all be taken into account. The stringent compliance with the formal requirements is very important. This is ensured through the template and the guidance document. Instructions for the submission of the written work can be found further down the page.

For student presentations, the use of the Digital Health Research Group PowerPoint Template is mandatory.

Theses

We are pleased to have raised your interest in writing a thesis at our research group. Please note the following information:

For master's or diploma theses, we generally recommend writing the research seminar and the final thesis subsequently. The successive working on a common topic through both theses promotes the best possible research and study results. However, deviating individual procedures are possible after separate consultation with us.
Please use the topics in our topic vault as a guide for your choice of topics. In principle, we are also open to your own suggestions but prioritize topics close to our research field of digital health.
Please send an informal application (including a short curriculum vitae and a current overview of your grades) to our secretary's office (e-mail: ). Please mention the topic of your interest from our vault and inform also the supervisor listed there.
After an initial discussion with the supervisor, we expect the preparation of an agreed exposé as the basis for the thesis. This exposé typically comprises 2 to 4 pages and describes the motivation, problem, research objective and research questions as well as the planned research method(s). Your thesis will only be officially registered after a confirmation of your exposé by us.
