Research on digitization processes

As a central and interdisciplinary research institution, we analyze the influence of digitization on educational and research processes as well as social change. Based on our research results, we test and evaluate, among other things, media deployment scenarios in teaching and science.

interdisciplin­ary and user-oriented

With more than 70 employees from different disciplines, we work in various research and development projects on diverse topics in the context of digitization. In addition to theoretical analyses and model developments, our research is primarily application-oriented. Together with our partners, we develop didactic concepts and pilot scenarios as well as prototypes and platforms for their technical implementation. All development processes are scientifically accompanied and evaluated. A review of the research year 2020 as well as a summary of our projects can be found in our annual report.
