TUD E-Learning Jewel" competition
Table of contents
Aims of the competition
We are looking for interesting didactic designs, exciting learning content, innovative examination scenarios or special communication concepts - whether hybrid or completely digital. TU Dresden would like to make courses with such elements visible and honor the commitment of those involved.
This will result in a gallery of all the TU Dresden's e-learning gems, which can serve as inspiration and a model for other courses. We are therefore looking for particularly successful e-learning content or concepts.
The prizes will be awarded in the following three categories:
- Small courses
- Average courses
- Large courses
In each category, the piece of jewelry with the most votes will win prize money of €2,000 (this can be spent on SHK/WHK costs and material costs). All associate members of TU Dresden can vote. Please also see our competition announcement.
You can gain insights into the commitment of our winners in the interview series Teaching portraits - here, lecturers talk about their approaches, experiences and insights from digital teaching.
Procedure of the 2025 competition
Submission of the e-learning gems
Courses are submitted by teachers themselves or suggested anonymously by students. E-learning gems can be all digital teaching/learning content and e-learning teaching concepts that were developed and implemented at TU Dresden in the winter semester 2024/25 or summer semester 2025.
Courses that have already won awards in previous years can be submitted, but cannot be awarded again.
Submissions may be made from October 24 to November 21, 2025.
Use the nomination form to propose other people's courses for participation in the competition.
Submissions of your own course are made directly via our OPAL course.
Gallery creation and voting
At the end of the submission period, the e-learning jewels will be published in a jewel gallery for viewing.
From December 8, 2025 to January 07, 2026, all students and employees of TU Dresden will be able to browse the gallery and vote for their favorite e-learning jewelry. Three votes can be cast anonymously.
Previous galleries
You are welcome to be inspired by the galleries from previous years at any time.
