Research Profile Determining Projects
TU Dresden is one of the leading German universities in the acquisition of third-party funds. Profile-characterizing research projects have an essential share of it. These include the projects of the Excellence Initiative as well as the Coordinated Programs of the German Research Foundation (DFG) such as Collaborative Research Centers, Research Training Groups and Research Units as well as major projects of the state, the federal government and the European Union. These research projects significantly characterize the research profile of TU Dresden.
The contact persons in the Units 5.1 (Research Promotion) and 5.2 (European Project Center) in Department 5 provide support for the application of those research profile determining projects. You will get comprehensive advice on how to write a proposal and you will find extensive support for specific regularities on the application of major research projects funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) (Guidelines of Vice-Rector for Research N° 1/2011, contact) or funded by ERC Grants of the European Union (Guidelines of Vice-Rector for Research N° 5/2014, contact).
