Comprehensive communication and cloud-computing network for Agriculture 4.0 and rural spaces
A testing ground for communication and cloud-computing infrastructure as well as data handling is a fundamental prerequisite for smart farming and the digitalization of agriculture on the whole.
The goal of the LANDNETZ project is to create a digital field of experimentation concentrated on the necessary communication and cloud-computing infrastructures for researching and testing technologies for comprehensive, 5G wireless data transfer in rural spaces, for connecting agricultural operations and for using data hubs in a selected model region in Saxony.
LANDNETZ is one of fourteen digital experimental fields funded by the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture as part of the future program “digital politics in agriculture.”
