Saxon-Polish Innovation Days
Wrocław: The first Saxon-Polish Innovation Day took place in Poland on 21st and 22nd September 2017 in the university city of Wrocław. Around 140 Saxon and Polish representatives from science, industry and politics discussed current developments and results in the field of electromobility. The political importance of the cooperation between the two countries was emphasised by the patronage of the Consulate General, the State Ministry for Higher Education, Science and the Arts, as well as the twin cities of Wroclaw and Dresden. Among the guests were the Director of the Polish Institute for Territorial Development (IRT), Dr. Maciej Zathej, and the Deputy Consul General of Germany in Wrocław, Mrs. Christine Botschen.
The Innovation Day was organised by the TU Dresden Transfer Office, the TUD Institute of Lightweight Engineering and Polymer Technology (ILK), as well as the Saxon liaison office in Wrocław. For more than 20 years, the ILK has maintained bilateral cooperation with five universities in Poland. The establishment of a new cooperation platform "Xborderinnovation" is intended to sustainably expand scientific cooperation in the Saxon-Polish border region.
