Do you have questions on doing a doctorate, funding opportunities or career prospects after your PhD? Do you need advice with regard to your scholarship or job application? Are you searching for support in a situation of conflict or crises within the context of your PhD or postdoctoral project?

The team of the Graduate Academy gladly provides information and support to (prospective) doctoral candidates, postdocs and supervisors.

Prospective doctoral candidates do not have to be members of the Graduate Academy.

Mental Health

Early career researchers need a good work-life balance, healthy habits and strategies for dealing constructively with stress in order to be able to cope well with the challenges and strains of everyday doctoral and postdoctoral work. The Graduate Academy supports you in this with a series of workshops and counselling services as well as information events on the topic of mental health.

Individual Coaching for Doctoral Candidates and Postdocs

Coaching is a professional counseling format that offers goal and solution-oriented support during career related change and development processes. The Graduate Academy offers its members individual coaching on job-related topics comprising a maximum of five sessions.

Career options after your PhD

Do you have any questions about career options, application strategies or the perfect application portfolio? We support you on your way to professional success.

GA Writing Lab: Advisory Service

The GA Writing Advisory Service offers support with the planning, development and improvement of academic writing projects such as doctoral dissertations, scientific papers or grant applications. The writing advisory service focusses on the writing process and writing techniques and is offered by GA staff or Project Scouts who are trained as writing coaches.

Konfliktberatung & Mediation

In Konfliktsituationen bezogen auf das Promotionsbetreuungsverhältnis oder die Zusammenarbeit mit Kolleginnen und Kollegen im Forschungsalltag bietet die Graduiertenakademie Ihnen Unterstützung in Form von Konfliktberatung und -coaching sowie Mediation.

Binationale Promotionen / Cotutelle de thése

Im Rahmen einer binationalen Promotion forscht der Promovierende unter der gemeinsamen Betreuung eines Hochschullehrers der TU Dresden und eines Hochschullehrers einer ausländischen Universität. Es wird dabei eine Dissertation verfasst und ein gemeinsam von zwei Universitäten unterschiedlicher Länder verliehener Doktortitel erworben. Erfahren Sie mehr zum Thema binationale Promotion hier.
