Trans-disciplinary discourse and exhibition project of the Academic Heritage of TU Dresden

Issues of digitisation, artificial intelligence, and their effects on different areas of life are more and more on the agenda not only in different scientific areas, but also discussed in society.

It is at the interface between science and society that the arts come into play: In a new long-term project, the office for Academic Heritage of TU Dresden brings together artists and scientists. Under the heading DEAR HUMANS, ..., Institutes and Research Groups of TU Dresden will develop and pursue joint research questions over a period of two years.

Am 2. November findet das PUBLIC DISPLAY des ersten ART SCIENCE LAB statt. Zwischen 17 und 21 Uhr stellen sich die bildenden Künstler*innen und Wissenschaftler*innen mit Performances, Vorträgen und Workshops in der Altana Galerie im Görges Bau vor. Das Grußwort hält um 18 Uhr der Rektor der TU Dresden, Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. DEng/Auckland Hans Müller-Steinhagen.

Zu den eingeladenen Künstler*innenkollektiven zählen YOUNG GIRL READING GROUP, PAKUI HARDWARE und ALICE PERAGINE, die mit Wissenschaftler*innen aus unterschiedlichen Instituten der TU Dresden Kooperationen eingehen. Vom Bereich Geistes- und Sozialwissenschaften beteiligen sich Dr. Tanja Prokić (Germanistik) sowie JProf. Anne Lauber-Rönsberg (Rechtswissenschaft), Prof. Alexander Lasch (Germanistik) und Prof. Sven Engesser (Kommunikationswissenschaft) mit ihren Arbeitsgruppen an dem Projekt.

The results of the transdisciplinary collaboration will be presented and discussed with the public in four further ART SCIENCE LABS in 2019/2020.
