Supporting and accompanying schools that are critical of discrimination - Symposium in Zwickau
Discrimination is a central obstacle to equal and respectful coexistence in various areas of society. Especially in the context of schools, discrimination is part of the everyday experiences of pupils, parents and teachers. The symposium "Schulen im Aufbruch - Diskriminierungskritische Schulen unterstützen und begleiten" on 30.09.2022 at the West Saxon University of Applied Sciences Zwickau (Scheffelstraße 39, 08066 Zwickau) is aimed at people who consider themselves in the context of "school" and want to learn more about everyday discrimination. From 10.00 am to 04.00 pm, various perspectives and experts will show how it is possible to talk about discrimination in school and what possibilities for action and preventive measures exist for this. The day sets an example against exclusion and encourages people to name everyday discrimination and make it visible and discussable.
Participation in the symposium is free of charge; registration is possible via this web form. You can find more information about the programme here.
