Symposium: Sächische Migrationsgesellschaft neu denken!
On Wednesday, 22 August 2018, the symposium Sächsische Migrationsgesellschaft neu denken! will take place in Dresden:
Germany is a country of immigration. Saxon society is also shaped by migration. However, the diversity of our society remains mostly hidden and diversity is often perceived as a deviation from a mostly unspoken norm and problematised accordingly.
However, diversity is not a special case, it is part of the normality of our society. At the symposium, we want to discuss together how we can change this self-image and carry it further into society.
- How do we move from a deficit-oriented migration and integration policy to a diversity-conscious social policy?
- How do we develop new narratives?
- What role do intercultural actors play in this field of tension?
- What does strategic and successful networking look like?
The Centre for Integration Studies at the TU Dresden (ZfI) will participate with the lecture Sachsens Vielfalt denken! by Noa K. Ha.
Further information and the conference programme can be found here.
The conference is organised by the Verband binationaler Familien und Partnerschaften, iaf e.V. in cooperation with the Sächsischen Landeszentrale für politische Bildung.
