Conference “Literarische Textualität und ästhetische Medialität in Deutsch als Zweitsprache (DaZ). Spannungsfelder – Potenziale – Perspektiven“
Which potential does literature have in the teaching of German as a second language (DaZ)? Which perspectives can be opened up through literature in a teaching of DaZ that focusses on a linguistic teaching of the German language, thereby neglecting literary aesthetic approaches? These questions will be part of the conference “Literarische Textualität und ästhetische Medialität in Deutsch als Zweitsprache. Spannungsfelder – Potenziale – Perspektiven“ (“Literary textuality and aesthetic mediality in German as a second language. Tension fields – potentials – perspectives”), which is organised by the Centre for Integration Studies and the Chair of German as a Foreign Language of TU Dresden, and which will take place on 7th/8th November 2019. The conference wants to discuss the functions, potentials, and the importance of literary textuality and aesthetic mediality in the context of DaZ. Thereby, the framework, standards, and objectives of the teaching of a second language regarding language, social, and integration politics will be taken into account, because this also concerns fundamental questions of the organisation of second language teaching in the German Federal immigration society.
You can find more information, as well as the possibility to register for the conference on the conference’s website of the ZfI.
