Faculty Management

The Faculty Board is the highest body of the Faculty. It is responsible for all matters of fundamental importance to the faculty, e.g. issuing degree and examination regulations, establishing degree programs and appointing appointment committees (Saxon Higher Education Freedom Act § 93 SächsHSG). The members of the Faculty Board elect the Dean, Vice-Dean and Dean of Studies for a term of office of three years. The Dean heads the Faculty and is responsible to the Faculty Board.(§ 94 SächsHSG)

The office is currently unaccompanied.
Dean of Studies
Deans of Studies are the Dean's representatives for all study matters. By virtue of their office, they are members of the study commission associated with the degree program and chair it(§ 96 SächsHSG)

Dean of Studies for the teacher training program
In coordination with the University Executive Board and the faculties involved in teacher training, the study commissions for the cross-faculty teacher training and teacher training degree programs were established at the ZLSB. These are headed by the Deans of Studies of the respective degree programs.
