The members of the research group:
Aleksandra Bader (M.A. Psychology)
I completed my master's degree in psychology at the University of Szczecin (Poland) in 2018. My professional experience includes having working in the HR department of a large consortium, where I was responsible for recruitment. Since scientific research has always been one of my topics of interest, I am glad to be part of the junior research group FioKo. Aditionally to my involvement in the project, I am training to become a psychological psychotherapist at the IAP-Dresden.
Astrid Dirks (M.A. Education and Media: eEducation)
I started my career in a dual vocational training in the commercial sector. After a few years of work, I studied for a BA Educational Science and a consecutive M.A. Education and Media at the FernUniversität in Hagen. My main areas of interest and research are the dual vocational training system and its changes due to digitalization, AI and competence development, as well as vocational education in Italy. In this context, I focus on the role and tasks of in-company trainers. In the FioKo project, I am dealing with process and system competence (PSC) and the exciting question of whether PSC emerges differently in female and male trainees. I would like to investigate this question on the basis of the training occupations in mechatronics.
Bernadette Rohlf (M.A. Management Sozialen Wandels)
At the University for Sustainable Development Eberswalde, I graduated in Corporate Management (B.A.) in 2016. Afterwards, I spezialized in humanities and social sciences in the subsequent Master's program. Studying for a Master of Arts in Management of Social Change at the University of Applied Sciences Zittau/Görlitz (graduation in 2020), I found my passion for scientific research and working on questions of social inequality. My focus lies in topics surrounding gender and equality. This field of interest correlated with the work of the junior research group and, in turn, allows me to further apply and professionalize my content-related interests and scientific skills in working here.
Elfi Lange (M.Sc. Business Administration)
I completed my first degree (Bachelor of Science in Finance) in 2016 at the Dresden University of Applied Sciences. Afterwards, I studied business administration at the Technical University Bergakadamie Freiberg and successfully completed my studies in 2021 with the degree of Master of Science. Since 2021 I work as a research assistant at the Chair of Entrepreneurship and Business Taxation at the Technical University Bergakademie Freiberg. In the junior research group Fioko, I research on challenges and needs of female founders and the evaluation of current support services for this target group. This is analyzed by means of qualitative and quantitative research methods.
Franziska Stauche (M.A. Social Sciences Diversity Research)
After completing my training as a health care and nursing assistant, I studied for a bachelor's degree in sociology and German philology at the University of Kassel. I completed my master's degree in Social Sciences Diversity Research in 2023 at the Georg-August-University of Göttingen. In Kassel I was employed as an assistant at the Department of Sociology of Social Disparities as well as at the Department of Gender/ Diversity in Informatics Systems, in Göttingen I was a researcher for the TRANS*KIDS study. Since I wanted to pursue my interest in diversity, gender and related inequalities professionally, I took interest in the junior research group FioKo. I am delighted to be able to research on which influences faculty cultures have on the underrepresentation of women in science.
Meike Scholz (M.Sc. Value Chain Management)
I completed a Bachelor of Science in Economics. This led me to enroll in the consecutive master's program in Value Chain Management, which I successfully completed in April 2021.
I completed courses at both the TU Dresden and TU Chemnitz. During the time I worked as a research assistant at the Technical Universities of Chemnitz and Freiberg. From May 2021 on I worked for the GAP project as a research assistant. The junior research group GAP was the predecessor to this project and was successfully completed in December 2022. In the FioKo project, I am responsible for the topics of Performance
Management and Role Models.
Dr. phil. Sarah Drechsel
I studied chemistry and mathematics at the Technical University of Dresden. After graduating, I took on a position as research assistant at University of Kassel to complete my doctorate in educational sciences. My field of interest is examining educational processes from a scholarly, researcher's perspective. I am excited to be a part of the junior research group FioKo. In the context of the project, I am particularly interested in subject didactic aspects in relation to career choice (processes) and learners' interests. I am the head of the junior research group.
Stephanie Burger (M.Sc. Psychology)
After completing my studies in teaching and psychology, I expanded my practical knowledge by means of various communication trainings (NLP, GFK). Due to my interest in educational psychology, gender equality as well as research and statistics I am well-suited for my position in this project. My fields of responsibility are quantitative research methods and statistical data analysis, as well as the content-related focus on the career choice of students. Furthermore, I am currently working on my PhD on the influence of pedagogical staff on gender (non)typical career choices.
Tina Karabinski (M.Sc. Psychology)
After completing my bachelor's degree in psychology at the University of Hagen, I followed up with a master's degree with a focus on work and organizational psychology at the TU Dresden. During my studies, I was able to gain experience in the acquisition of companies for psychological surveys as well as the preparation and implementation of data collection with subsequent evaluation. I joined the team as a research assistant in January 2024. I am looking forward to researching methods of individual and organizational development for the advancement of women. I am also doing my doctorate at the Institute of Work, Organizational and Social Psychology at TU Dresden on the topic of "Recovery climate in teams and organizations - a questionnaire development".
