Which documents do I have to submit if I want to apply?

  • Application procedure for German applicants and educational residents: 1. June - 15. July

  • Application procedure for international applicants: 1. April - 31. May

• a copy of your university entrance certificate (normally your graduation diploma)
• a certified copy of your degree certificate which proofs your first graduation diploma or another certificate of your first institute of higher education, which contains at least 80 percent of your effort (pdf-template)
• a verification of the required linguistic proficiency (for foreign applicants only)
• your certificate of matriculation of the last studied session including the specification of the semester

What are related courses of study?

Interested persons can be accepted for this master program if they acquired a first qualifying university degree in education studies or if a related course of study has been completed. This includes e.g. sociology, business education or psychology.

Which academic performance can I provide in order to proof my particular suitability?

Everyone can be accepted who can proof its particular suitability. For this purpose, at least two of your academic achievements (with at least the grade good) must have been completed in two of the four areas, which are relevant for this master-course. Academic achievements are e.g. reports, term papers, presentations (including textualisation), written exams and modules.

The following table includes possible study contents for each area, which can be accepted as a proof of (particular) suitability. Please check if your academic performance fit at least two of the undermentioned areas. Please note that the following table only represents a small selection of possible academic achievements.

I have no graded academic performance as a proof of my particular suitability to bring into proof to accept my specific qualification – Can I still apply?

Ungraded academical performances aren´t easy to be accepted in general. But don´t worry, you can be invited to a suitability interview to determine your qualification.

Am I able to apply without a certificate of my first university degree?

If you already achieved 80 percent of the necessary credit points, you can apply and be accepted for an aptitude test. Your higher education institution will issue the corresponding confirmation (pdf-template). Please add this confirmation as an original or officially certified copy to your application.
